<p>This is hard, but still easier than I thought. I feel awkward telling people I&#8217;m on a &#8220;medically-supervised&#8221; diet though. Makes me sound like I&#8217;m the half-ton kid or something.</p>
<p>Today I worked out. 503 calories. It felt good. I just stared in the mirror the whole time-imagining the  body that I&#8217;ll have soon!</p>
<p>All is well. I&#8217;m still dreading a  Christmas in Chicago though. I may have to give myself one or two meals to partake in the glorious food that Chicago has to offer.</p>

<p>Yesterday was Day One of the rest of my life.</p>
<p>This blog is going to take the place of a book I wanted to write [or it may just become a book itself]. The book was to be titled &#8211; The Kool Kids Guide: Be Fit, Be Fly, Be F***ing Amazing.  It was going to be a journal/self-help type book for folks between the ages of 15 and 25.</p>
<p>To me, a &#8220;Kool Kid&#8221; is a person who has it all. Their life just seems to be going in the right direction, ALL the time! So I tried to think of why this could be.  I came up with a couple of things that one could do to find their inner kool kid. The first involves health.</p>
<p>The people that we envy, the people that we look-up to, the people we are jealous of &#8211; are most likely healthy and fit. If your body is working at its full potential, then you can<strong> live</strong> at your full potential!</p>
<p>So this blog will journal the first phase on my way to Kool Kidness: Getting Fit.</p>
<p>I have started a medically-supervised health program in which the only things I eat are the ones made by a meal replacement company. Yesterday was day one.</p>
<p>I had a shake for breakfast, some not-so-tasty lasagna for lunch, some yummy chicken parm pasta, two more shakes, and some cheese ravioli.  Sounds like a lot when I type it but each one of these meals is only 200 calories or less. So it&#8217;s a lot less that I would normally consume on my diet of fast-food and restaurants.</p>
<p>&#8220;Why are you medically-supervised?&#8221; Well folks, I&#8217;m a 22 year old female and I currently weigh 236lbs.  I put on about 80lbs in the past two years of my life by making poor decisions and not putting my health first.  In my case, something drastic had to be done!</p>
<p>When you decide to start your journey to your inner kool kid, you may only need to work-out more and cut back on your fast food. The goal here is to be at a state where you have no ailments, take no medications, can do ANY physical activity, and have a pretty &#8220;clean&#8221; system [meaning your insides aren't full of fat and salt!].</p>
<p>So let&#8217;s go &#8211; let your Kool Kid be known. Become the person that you want to be. Become the person that others want to be.</p>
